God is in Relentless Pursuit of You - Rainbows
Sisters Ashton and Foster spotting a rainbow
This week began under an overcast sky with steady rain, flooding, streams of water, deep puddles, and missionaries with mud on their boots and soaked shoes. During “the rainy season” (winter) we send sun lamps to the apartments up in Eureka and encourage missionaries to take vitamin D. Yet, even with gray skies and rain dripping from their noses, our missionaries keep working faithfully. As they say, especially the bikers, “You can only get so wet, and then you just have to embrace it!”

As President Quinn and I were driving this week, the sky suddenly opened and the sun burst through the clouds and rain, revealing a beautiful rainbow. I rolled down the window and snapped a picture. The next day during interviews, several missionaries mentioned they had seen rainbows too, some even proudly reporting they had seen as many as eleven! So, I went to our mission chat and asked our missionaries for rainbow photos from the week. I was overwhelmed with more than thirty beautiful rainbow pictures. I loved knowing that so many of our missionaries paused, noticed, and captured those moments too. Thank you to our missionaries for sharing them with me.

Seeing a rainbow, and the photos of rainbows truly lifted my spirits this week. I like to think that God smiled when He designed sunlight to refract through water droplets to create a spectrum of color. This week, rainbows have strengthened my testimony that God loves His children, He is mindful of us, and He desires our happiness. In fact, I know that God is in relentless pursuit of each one of us. If you, a member of the Church or not a member, and want to feel His love, reach out to one of His missionaries. They are here to serve you. Here is a link that will guide you in reaching them. Just ask for the service you could use. Or please pass this link on to someone you know would like some service. The missionaries would love to help out.
Have a wonderful week. Sister Quinn
Enjoy the rainbow photos. I’m tempted to post all thirty! Each photo I was sent is so unique. Again, thank you to our missionaries for sending them to me!
