POV - LDS Missionary
This update is written from a missionary POV, using mission acronyms. How many do you recognize? I hope reading this post is fun and makes you LOL! (Answers below)
The APs came by Monday evening to meet with us. They said they had enjoyed their P-day. We went over R&R’s and things are looking good across CASRM. The transfer board has held up well despite the latest ET. We discussed what to train on in our upcoming MLC. We think it would be a good idea to teach our ZL’s and STL’s on how to have effective exchanges. We also discussed KI’s and especially how to have more LWMP. Member work is key, and we need to remind our missionaries to also work with the YM & YW from the ward. It is also good to work closely with our WML and attend WC. The RS is so kind to keep a meal calendar for our missionaries. Our MLS missionaries are awesome as they support the many wards in our stakes. We discussed how our YSA wards are a little low during the summer, and how JC finding is helpful.
Meeting with the AP’s for R&R - Elders Gardner & Lunt with Sister & President Quinn
Next, we talked about how our DL’s can train on effective teaching, encouraging more DIB’s and always remembering KISSS. When teaching friends, we can prepare by using ideas from PMG and concepts from the BoM. You can also add cross references with the KJV, the JST, and the D&C. Next, we discussed our many friends with NBD’s. We are excited to see how well the SML’s are doing with referrals and FB adds. We are so proud of missionaries getting new members to the FHC to prepare names for the temple. Our missionaries are working hard and have had many F@C this past Sunday. Looking ahead I can’t believe that Elder Gardner will be a RM after the next transfer cycle. Elder Lunt will finish back in the field as a trainer. After returning home he is thinking about attending the Y. They're wonderful, we’ll miss them.
At FSY - Elders Wilson & Dixon, President & Sister Quinn, Hermanas Jones & Miles
After the AP’s left, President Quinn and I jumped on our mission wide MM Zoom call. Afterwords I took some time to look through my notes of missionaries entering the MTC this week, so we can be ready for their arrival in two weeks. I also went over my eMed notes to be prepared for our next MHC with our MHA and AMA. President Quinn contacted our IFR to conduct some mission business. He made a note that one missionary needed to have money added to his MSF card. He then started working on the ZC deck. Next, we did some calendaring on the upcoming CCM and read an email from a SP. The SP wants us to speak at the next SC; there will also be a GA visiting. We’re looking forward to this Friday, we’ve been asked to speak at FSY. We’re headed into our 2nd week of interviews. We love being with our fabulous LDS missionaries!
Have a good day, MPW
