President Quinn’s Weekly Message
California Santa Rosa Mission
October 6th, 2025
It has been a wonderful and busy two weeks in CASRM. Sister Quinn and I enjoyed being with you in the mission and Elders conference. Last week we traveled to conduct interviews in Ukiah, Fairfield, Woodland, and Vacaville. We have enjoyed these opportunities being with you.
We have been blessed this last weekend to be instructed by the leaders of the Church in the semi-annual General Conference. This has been a particularly tender and unique time with the passing of President Nelson just one week before the conference. I have been impressed and inspired by the unity displayed by the leaders of the Church. There is no politicking or lobbying by our leaders promoting one apostle above another to lead the Church. The process for choosing the next president of the Church is simple – and in its simplicity we see evidence of its divine design under the direction of the Lord. I am grateful for the example of unity, love, and discipleship I see from our leaders.
We have been blessed with an inspiring General Conference this last weekend. In a few days, each talk delivered in General Conference will be available for us to read, watch, and study. I invite you to do the things King Benjamin’s encouraged his people to do:
“…all ye that have assembled yourselves together, you that can hear my words which I shall speak unto you this day; for I have not commanded you to come up hither to trifle with the words which I shall speak, but that you should hearken unto me, and open your ears that ye may hear, and your hearts that ye may understand, and your minds that the mysteries of God may be unfolded to your view.” (Mosiah 2:9)
In this conference, we received inspired messages from our leaders that can help us “go deep” in our discipleship to Jesus Christ. I will always remember the inspiration and love I felt during this conference. Please read and listen to the messages we have been given. Open your ears, heart, and mind to receive the specific and individual messages the Spirit will teach you to bless your missionary service – and your lifelong discipleship to Jesus Christ.
After hearing the message delivered by King Benjamin, the people exclaimed:
“Yea, we believe all the words which thou hast spoken unto us; and also, we know of their surety and truth, because of the Spirit of the Lord Omnipotent, which has wrought a mighty change in us, or in our hearts, that we have no more disposition to do evil, but to do good continually. And we, ourselves, also, through the infinite goodness of God, and the manifestations of his Spirit, have great views of that which is to come; and were it expedient, we could prophesy of all things.” (Mosiah 5:2-3)
I pray for a similar blessing to come to each of us. I testify we are led by the Lord’s prophe
